Emmons is an unincorporated community located in the southern part of Monongalia County, West Virginia, United States. It is situated along the West Virginia Route 7, between the towns of Cassville and Granville. The area around Emmons was once a coal-mining region, and the community was named for the Emmons Coal Company. Today, Emmons is a residential area with a handful of businesses and amenities, including a gas station, a post office, and a bank. The community is also surrounded by the scenic landscape of the Appalachian Mountains, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
